I had a new house with a small and awkwardly shaped backyard and contacted Genoscape Designs and two other landscape companies about putting in a pool, garden and entertaining space suitable for adults and teenagers.

  The professionalism of Joe Genovese was evident from the beginning.  Joe asked far more questions than anyone else did and spent a lot more time getting information from me about how I would use the space and what I wanted.  When he returned two weeks later he had a fully laid out colour plan for me which detailed the back yard of my dreams; somehow he was able to come up with a spacious layout that included a pool, pergola, dining space, sunning space and beautiful gardens.

  His price was competitive and his staff proved to be respectful, polite and hard working.  Our backyard was the envy of our neighbourhood and I regularly had people sticking their heads over the fence to look around and ask if they could come in for a tour!  When we sold the house last year the backyard was the feature that everyone wanted.  I'm looking forward to having Genoscape come back and do another dream backyard for us in the near future.

We contacted Joe in Dec 2009, explaining our vision.   Even in the first meeting, Joe explained so many things that was superior than other contractors that we contacted.   In Jan 2010, Joe came back with several designs that took our vision way beyond what we think was possible.

After a couple more discussion sessions, we decided to have Joe work on our front yard.   The project completed in summer 2010 and it looks great with good craftsmanship.  After this successful project, we asked Joe to continue the backyard project which was much bigger in scope and was fairly complicated.   The project completed in May 2011 and Joe created an oasis for my family to enjoy and our summer weekends never look the same.

In the summer of 2011 we decided to give our backyard a bit of a facelift. We had the pleasure of working with Joe on two priojects at our Stouffville home.  The first was to build a pond in a fairly small area.  Joe was able to come up with a design that included a gentle waterfall, plants and aquatic life.  It brought life to our urban back yard and complimented our existing decks, patio and gardens.

Our second project was far more extensive, including a new entrance to the front of our home, new driveway and gardens.  Again Joe came up with an original design and put it into play.  As he knows that we like water, he added a water feature and sitting area in our tiny front yard, incorporating the large trees that existed.

Joe and his crew did both jobs in a timely fashion with no interuptions or delays.  He used first grade materials that will last for years.  I have recommended Joe to friends and will use his services again in the future.
